How We Work Together

01.

Schedule a Consultation

This complimentary 15-minute call provides an opportunity for you to chat through what is bringing you to therapy. During this call, I will share my professional background, as well as discuss practical details such as scheduling and rates. This conversation will help us both determine if we are the right match.

02.

Start Therapy on Your Terms

Once sessions start, we will focus on what is most important to you—whether that is pinpointing what is holding you back or going after the deep rooted issues that keep you up at night. We’ll set goals to align with your objectives, allowing you to set the pace, and fostering genuine transformation in your life.

03.

See the Change

Therapy is not about “fixing” you - it’s about connecting with the clarity already within you. Through your therapeutic journey, you’ll gradually reconnect with your authentic self—cultivating confidence, finding your calm, and aligning your life accordingly. You know what your happy feels like, and we can help you get there.

Trauma Focused -
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF -CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented type of talk therapy. It can help manage mental health conditions and emotional concerns.

CBT has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.

CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.

Studies show that CBT outperforms antidepressant medication for the treatment of depression.

Incorporation of a Trauma Focused lens integrates the unique practices required to appropriately support folks with a history of trauma.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of mindful psychotherapy that helps you stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment.

ACT is a psychotherapy approach to improve your relationship with your thoughts and emotions.

ACT provides support for individuals by promoting psychological flexibility, helping them accept themselves and their experiences, and encouraging a lifestyle aligned with their core values.

75% of people who tried ACT reported remission of their symptoms and improvement in their quality of life.

Somatic Processing & Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Somatic processing is a therapeutic approach that tackles both the psychological and physical symptoms of trauma.

Somatic therapy engages the mind-body connection to express deeply painful or traumatic experiences, applying healing to aid with trauma recovery.

Therapists use somatic interventions to help calm their clients' nervous system, and create more ease in the healing process.

Mindfulness, or increasing one’s awareness and connection with self through active reflection, has been shown to improve self-control, objectivity, affect tolerance, enhanced flexibility, equanimity, improved concentration and mental clarity.
